Terms and conditions
Last updated:
These terms apply to the Oppanai One website and app, including browsing, customer bookings and professional accounts. Please read them with our Privacy policy and Refund and cancellation policy before creating an account or making a booking.
1. Our marketplace
Oppanai One connects customers with independent beauty professionals, including mehndi and makeup artists, hair stylists, studios and salons, for everyday care and special occasions. Professionals set their services, availability, prices and booking policies and are responsible for delivering their services. They are independent businesses, not our employees.
A verification badge means the professional submitted an identity document and received administrative approval. It is not a certification of qualifications, a background check or a guarantee of service quality or results.
2. Eligibility and account security
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract. Provide accurate information and use only accounts you are authorised to access. Keep sign-in credentials and verification codes confidential and report suspected misuse promptly. Professionals must be authorised to represent their business.
3. Choosing and booking a service
Before confirming, check the professional's portfolio, service inclusions, location and travel arrangements, date and time, trial policy, cancellation window and full price breakdown. Search results and displayed availability are not a booking confirmation. Distance estimates are approximate and do not represent travel times.
In-app payment bookings become confirmed after successful payment verification. Pay-direct bookings begin as requests and become confirmed when the professional accepts. Unpaid payment bookings normally expire after 30 minutes; unanswered pay-direct requests normally expire after 24 hours. Check the status in your booking before assuming a slot is reserved.
Give accurate appointment details and obtain permission to use the selected venue. Confirm accessibility needs, product preferences and any relevant allergies directly with the professional before treatment. Ask about patch tests where appropriate. Beauty services are not medical advice or medical treatment.
4. Prices, payments and trials
The checkout shows service charges, discounts, travel fees, total and amount payable now. Depending on the professional's settings, you can pay an advance, pay in full in the app, or pay the professional directly. Any remaining balance is settled with the professional. Obtain a receipt for direct payments.
Razorpay processes in-app payments, subject to its applicable payment terms. Do not share payment credentials with professionals or support. A bank debit alone does not establish confirmation if payment verification is still pending; contact support with your booking and transaction references.
Trials may be free, paid, adjusted against a later bill or unavailable, as stated in the professional's profile. Coupon eligibility and limits apply as shown in the offer or checkout. Confirm any additional service and its cost before agreeing to it.
5. Cancellation, refunds and changes
The Refund and cancellation policy explains cancellations and refunds. You may withdraw requests awaiting payment or acceptance. A confirmed booking can be cancelled in the app when the appointment date is at least the professional's configured free-cancellation number of days away, calculated using India time. Within that window, contact the professional and support for assistance.
Eligible cancellations with an in-app payment are flagged for refund processing; a cancelled status is not proof that a refund has reached your bank. If the professional cancels, amounts paid in the app are due for refund. Contact support about payments received after a booking expired or was cancelled.
Direct payments must be resolved with the professional because Oppanai One does not hold those funds. We can assist with complaints. Changes to date, time or services require agreement and may require a new booking; they are not guaranteed. Nothing in these policies removes mandatory refund or consumer rights.
6. Responsibilities of beauty professionals
- Provide accurate business details and a valid government ID through the designated verification flow. Keep profiles, prices, availability and booking policies current. Replacing a verification document may require a new review.
- Maintain qualifications, licences or permissions required for your services, and use suitable hygiene practices, equipment and products.
- Honour confirmed bookings, deliver the agreed services and disclose any proposed additional charge before the customer agrees to it. Record cancellations and their reasons promptly.
- Upload only content you own or have permission to use, including permission from identifiable clients. Do not publish private identity documents or customer contact information.
- Use customer contact, venue and attachment information only for the booking or applicable legal obligations. Do not reuse it for unsolicited marketing.
7. Reviews, uploads and acceptable use
Reviews must reflect your own completed booking. Do not upload unlawful, abusive, discriminatory, misleading or infringing content. Do not impersonate others, manipulate reviews or coupons, scrape private information, bypass security or interfere with the service.
You retain ownership of your uploads. You grant Oppanai One permission to store, process and display them as needed to operate the service, including displaying public portfolio content and reviews. This permission does not make private verification documents public or permit unrelated use. We may restrict or remove content that breaches these terms or applicable law.
8. Suspension and account closure
We may restrict listings, content or accounts for fraud, unsafe conduct, misuse or breach of these terms, and provide an explanation where appropriate and lawful. Contact support to request review or account closure. Closure does not automatically cancel existing bookings, settle balances, or erase records required for refunds, disputes or legal obligations.
9. Service availability and responsibility
We work to keep booking information and the service available, but outages and errors can occur. Professional photos and reviews are examples, and individual beauty results vary. Independent professionals are responsible for their service delivery; Oppanai One remains responsible for its own obligations under applicable law.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the platform. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits your rights relating to fraud, negligence, defective or deficient services, refunds or consumer protection.
10. Complaints and disputes
Contact us with your booking reference, a description of the issue and relevant receipts or evidence. Avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information. For consumer grievances, we aim to acknowledge receipt within 48 hours and resolve the complaint within one month, as applicable.

Indian law governs these terms. Courts in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu may hear disputes subject to applicable jurisdiction rules. This does not prevent you from approaching a competent consumer commission, regulator or other forum available under law.
11. Changes to these terms
We will publish changes here with an updated date and provide additional notice when required. Review the terms before new bookings. Changes do not override mandatory rights or retrospectively remove rights attached to an existing booking.
